Albany Community Managers Earn CMCA® License

Person taking test

Two Sentry Community Association Managers in Albany, NY, Ashleigh Northrop, and Isaac Coffie recently earned their Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA®) license.

The CMCA® is an international certification program that is designed exclusively for managers of homeowner associations, condominium associations, and cooperatives.

In order to earn this credential, the manager must have a minimum of 12 months of onsite property management experience, complete the 40-hour CAM course, and meet all other examination standards.

“I’m excited to share my new credential with my communities because it reflects my commitment to provide a high professional standard of service and knowledge to my communities,” Ashleigh explains.

The course exam covers topics such as governance, legal, and ethical conduct, meetings, property maintenance, risk management, budget, reserves, and assessments.  This certification allows community managers to better serve their homeowner and condominium associations.

“Being given the opportunity to gain input from some of the most experienced community managers and other related professionals in our area, through CAI, it has granted me their decades of combined experience. This knowledge is certainly something I’ll be able to apply to all of my communities to ensure they receive the best possible service and council at all times,” Isaac said.
